Loretta B. Garcia, 63, of Velarde, NM, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children, family & friends. Loretta lived a life full of kindness, strength & unforgettable moments.

Loretta was preceded in death by her children Isaac Hernandez, Gary Orozco and daughter Febye Rose Sena; grandson’s Toure Jerome Tsosie and Reshawn Hernandez all from Espanola; parents Delfino and Febye Garcia; brother’s Leon, Gary and Leonard Garcia; sister Judy Mendoza all of Alcalde, NM; and many other relatives and friend’s.

Loretta is survived by her children Priscilla X. Hernandez, Ernestine C. Garcia, Leonard K, Garcia, Victoria and Jerome Rivera, Reyna Orozco-Garcia and (Jose); grandchildren Carlos, Zayden and Delilah Romero of Albuquerque, Mariyah & Jazmyn Hernandez of Albuquerque, Misha and Bella Gomez of Albuquerque, Kaelob Lopez of El Rito, Romeo and Alexjandro of Alcalde, Aaliyah Tsosie and Kimberly Ann Rivera of Espanola, Julian Pacheco of Albuquerque, Antonio and Jullianna Garcia, Estrellita, Nemo, Celestial, Uriah and Mekaila Sena of Espanola, Jeremiah Garcia of Farmington; Godchildren Anthony Garcia and Jill Archuleta;

sisters Ruby Sanchez (Jamie), Elaine Garcia and Trina Griego; brother’s Dale, James, Garcia and Harold Garcia; special cousin (sister) Marcy Garcia; good friend’s Casey Gallegos, Pam Romero, Richard Martinez, Tommy, Leslie and many more friends and relatives.

Loretta was raised in Velarde, NM, at an early age Loretta had a passion for cooking, baking and gardening. Loretta enjoyed baking her family favorite’s Apple and Cherry pie’s, bischochitos and homemade bread. She enjoyed making her tamales during the holidays. Loretta enjoyed her family gathering with her children and grandchildren. She loved all her children and was complete with her son Leonard who was her consentido.

Loretta worked for KDCE Radio Station for many years in Espanola. She enjoyed being part of the radio station family business and operation. Loretta spent meaningful time with her close friend’s Casey and his family, Marcy and many, many other friends where they created adventures times that left lasting smiles & memories. Loretta enjoyed attending the NM Hispanic Awards and there yearly picnic’s, she enjoyed the casino’s and spending time with her friends. Loretta loved to listen to Northern New Mexico music. She enjoyed dancing and singing since she was young. Loretta’s favorite holiday’s were Christmas and Easter.

The family of Loretta would like to express their love, prayers and support through this difficult time. Service will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Rock Fellowship in Espanola, NM (919 N. Riverside Drive). Burial is set for later date- private.
