Lorencita Romero Wright, 100, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Romero and Theodora Suazo Romero, her husband, David S. Wright, son, David Tom Wright, and her grandson Stewart Wright. Lorencita was 100 years old and was born on June 14, 1913 in Taos Pueblo, New Mexico. Lorencita, a very loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Our Mom will truly be missed as she was our sunshine and the air we breathe. Lorencita is survived by her five children; son, Wayne Wright and wife Delfina, Eugene Wright and wife Pricilla, daughter, Gina Partin, Gloria Martinez and husband Cipirano, and Wanda Wright, grandchildren; Ghana Partin, Nina Partin, George Lujan, Lyle Wright, Carlos Martinez, Angela Yancy, Scarlet Risberg, Violette Risberg, Tangerine Risberg, and Micheal Aguilar. She also has 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Lorencita was a Junior Mechanic during World War two; she was a nurse aide and was always willing to help anyone when necessary. She was always smiling, hence the reason why her grandchildren often referred to her as, “Gramma Happy”. The family would like to express an abundant amount of thanks and gratitude to the home care that was provided by Angelina Tena and Linda during our Mother’s time of need. Your loving and tender moral support helped our family during our time of need and we will remember and cherish it forever. Blessings to all. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Burial to take place on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery serving the family as pallbearers will be Carlos Martinez, Michael Aguilar, Lyle Wright, George Lujan, Steve Saubel, and Robert Lujan.
