Lonny Padilla

LONNY ERICK JOSEPH PADILLA, 51, a resident of Hernandez, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 6, 2019 surrounded by loved ones. He was preceded in death by his niece, Heather Martinez; great-grandparents, Joe and Louisa Padilla and other close relatives and friends. Lonny enjoyed camping, fishing, cruising, site seeing, listening to music, dancing, having barbeques and going to the zoo. He was a jokester and was always making people laugh and smile. He was always there for anyone that needed his help. He will forever be loved and remembered by anyone and everyone that crossed paths with him. He will always be in the hearts of those that loved him. Mr. Padilla is survived by his parents, Ross and Victoria Padilla of Hernandez; daughter, Ashley Martinez and husband Kevin of Chimayo; granddaughters that he loved very much, Evany, Quianna and Zyana Martinez; God-daughter, Kiki Rose Padilla; siblings, Louisa Padilla and spouse Gene Jaramillo of Española, Yolanda Martinez and spouse Arthur Ocaña of El Rito, Rose Lucero and spouse Mavi Tafoya of Española; best friends, Art Herrera, John Carlos Martinez, Librado Heredia and Stacy Lopez and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at The Lighthouse Church in Chimayo.  Serving the family as pallbearers, Art Herrera, John Carlos Martinez, Librado Heredia, Chris Martinez, Marcos Padilla and Stacy Padilla. Honorary pallbearers named are, Gene Jaramillo, Mavi Tafoya, Arthur Ocaña, Kevin Martinez and Desiray Maestas. The family of Lonny Erick Joseph Padilla has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
