Lloyd Douglas Staley

Lloyd Douglas Staley , 72, a resident of Hernandez passed away peacefully on May 10, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents; Clarence and Kathryn Staley and siblings John and Kate Staley.  Lloyd Douglas served his country for 23 years in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged. He worked for the State of New Mexico as an LP inspector and retired after many years. He enjoyed helping those in need. He was a Freemason, a Shriner, and helped with both The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America and he loved being outdoors in which he enjoyed playing golf or taking some amazing photos. Lloyd is survived by his wife; Mary Staley, children; Thomas Julian and Kathryn Rose Staley and stepson Greg Gallegos (Lilly), sister and brother in laws; Teresa Staley, Lonnie, (Angela), Angelo (Averlia), Donald (Ruth), and Joe Trujillo, along with many friends. Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sangre De Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home.  Burial will take place at a later day. Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas, Kathryn Rose, Lonnie, Donald, Greg, and Roy Engstrom.  The family of Lloyd Douglas Staley has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.  505-747-7477 -www.devargasfuneral.com
