Lillian C. Duran, 80, a resident of El Rancho, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, April 24, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Veronica Roybal; her ex-husband, Fermin Duran; and numerous siblings, nieces and nephews. Lillian’s passion was her grandchildren. She loved serving anyone who came to her house her delicious food. She loved playing her accordion and piano. Lillian had such a giving heart, in the words of her three loving sons. Lillian will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her three sons, Peter Duran (Tamare), Joel Duran (Audrey), and Amos Duran; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; 13 loving siblings and many nieces and nephews family and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Victory Faith Church in Española, with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at Victory Faith Church with a burial to follow at the El Rancho Assembly of God Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers, Matthew Roybal, Johnathan Romero, James Romero, Anthony Garcia, Bobby Duran, and Ted Salazar, honorary pallbearers, Isaiah Duran, Abe Herrera, Jacob Duran, Joshua Duran, Nathan Duran and Aaron Roybal. In Lieu of flowers the family request that any donations be made to help struggling students pay their tuition at Victory Christian Academy in Española, NM. The family of Lillian C.
