Lillian Padilla, 68, a resident of Peñasco passed away peacefully on Monday, July 30, 2012, after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her father, Fedelino Rodriguez; mother, Emilina Rodriguez; son, Milton A. Sandoval; granddaughter, Crystal Lillian Sandoval; nephew, Greg Pacheco; sister, Cora Pacheco. Lillian is survived by her husband, Larry Padilla of 30 years; her children: Joyce Rodriguez of Rio Rancho, Joe Sandoval of Santa Barbara, John Sandoval of San Luis, Kelvin Sandoval of Santa Barbara, Teresa Sandoval and companion Alex Herrera of Dixon, Miquelita Trevena and companion, David of Washington, Raymond Sandoval a wife Sarah Lopez of Peñasco, Clyde Sandoval of Colorado, Pearla Sanchez and companion Jeremy Marcelle of Llano, Nathan Rodriguez and wife Jamie of Rio Rancho, Joe Lopez of Llano, and Cheynne Sandoval of Llano; grandchildren: Adelio Lopez, Johnny Sanchez, Daija and Conrad Fernandez, Angel and Sherrie Sandoval, Gabriela Fields, Erika and Marty Vigil and Josh and Sandee Vigil; great-grandchildren: Crystal, Donavan and Marissa Rodriguez, Dillon Sanchez; brother/sisters: Genieve Santillanes and husband Phil of Albuquerque, Casilda Mendoza of Deming Stella Espeditude of Colorado, Eva Martin and husband Ed of Albuquerque, Edward Pacheco and wife Laura of Rio Lucero; numerous other loving relatives & friends. Public visitation will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco with burial to follow at Rio Lucio Cemetery in Peñasco with the following serving as pallbearers: Raymond Sandoval, Nathan Rodriguez, Edward Pacheco, Joe Sandoval, Kelvin Sandoval and Joe Lopez; honorary pallbearers: Crystal, Donavan and Marissa Rodriguez. The family of Lillian Padilla has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
