Lila Maestas

Lila Maestas, age 86, born in Alcalde, New Mexico, and a resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on March 17, 2025. She was born on June 11, 1938, to Abenicio and Isabel Ortiz.

She was preceded in death by her husband Oliby; parents Abenicio and Isabel Ortiz; sister Orlinda Maestas (Jose Elijio); brother Johnny Ortiz and grandson Josh Maestas.

Mrs. Maestas is survived by her sister JoAnn Archuleta and husband Adonais; children Andrew Maestas and wife Rebecca, Arlene Maestas, Allen Maestas and wife Roseanne; grandchildren, Andrea and husband Jeff, Joel and wife Yoonmee, Jason and wife Jordyn, Jonathan and partner Kelly; great-grandchildren Carolina, Andres, Olivia, Jayden, Jace, Jay and James; several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 10:00 a.m. All to take place in The Gabaldon Memorial Chapel (1000 Old Coors Dr. SW), with a burial at 12:30 pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery (501 N. Guadalupe Street) in Santa Fe where she will be laid to rest with her husband Oliby Maestas.
