Liberato Roberto (Bobby) Fischer, age 83, of Santa Fe, NM passed away on September 26, 2024. Bobby was born in Santa Fe, NM on August 17, 1941. He began serving with the United States Marine Corps, in 1960, as Private E-1. He fulfilled his duty to his Country in 1964 with an Honorable Discharge as PFC, assigned to the 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division,
Bobby’s first love was being a Cowboy; a free spirit. And for this, our Dear Lord Called him to a place he loved. A place he was close to God, a place he raised his children and worked the land. Bobby passed in the presence of God’s Masterpiece at the ranch in “Canon”. Bobby was a lifelong dedicated Dallas Cowboy Fan!! Bob will always remain a pillar of strength in the lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by his beautiful daughter Roberta Fischer- Romero. Parents, Ramona (Garcia) & Edward Fischer, brother Eddie Fischer Jr., sisters; Rachael Fischer and Karmella Fischer.
Bobby was married to Stella Fischer for 38 years. He is survived by his children Carla Fischer- Ortiz (Robert), Chris Fischer, Monica Fischer-Martinez (David), Felicia Fischer and Marlena Fischer. Eighteen grandchildren & nine great-grandchildren. Siblings; Loyola Fischer, Joseph (Sandra) Fischer, Liz Fischer, and Frank (Tina) Fischer and special friend Tita Vigil.
Rosary Service will be held at Cristo Rey Church in Santa Fe, NM, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 6:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Cristo Rey Church on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 10:30 am, with burial to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with Full Military Honors at 12:30 pm.
Serving the family as pallbearers are Brittany, Anthony, Randall, Ryan, Elijah, and Josua
Honoray pallbearers are his additional Grandchildren Neal, Erika, Desiree, Steven, Mariah, Gabriella, Nicalee, Kyra, Sophia, Isabella, Nicolas, and Maximiliano. Great-Grandchildren Jade, Damian, Billy, Evan, Lucian, Sarah, Amayah, Emilia, and Dominick.
