Levi Jose Age - 41 - Española Gonzales

Levi Jose Gonzales, 41, a resident of Española passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2012. He was a loving husband, father and loved spending time with his family. Levi was always there for anybody that needed help. He was a very giving and loving man and will be dearly missed. Levi was preceded in death by his son, Abel Gonzales; sister, Stephanie Maestas; nephew, Jacob Gurule; niece, Kayla Ortiz; grandparents, Porfirio and Melisia Gonzales, Jose Ramon and Juanita Maestas and Celia Jacquez, Tomas and Dolores Martinez; uncle, Bonifacio Gonzales. Levi is survived by his wife, Naomi Christine Gonzales of Española; daughter, Christine Angelica Gonzales; son, Raymond Matthew Gonzales; mother, Maria Gonzales; stepfather, Floyd Martinez all of Alcalde; sisters: Bernadette Ortiz and husband David of San Juan, Ramoncita Gonzales of Española; brother, Benico Gonzales of Alcalde; father, Benico Gonzales of Gallina; in-laws, Jimmy and Mela Gurule of El Llano; sister-in-law, Carla and Meliton Ortiz of Nambe; brother-in-law, James and Gwen Gurule of Santa Clara; God-daughter and niece, Denise Ortiz, nieces/nephews: Rikkie and Shannon Ortiz, Germaine, Melinda and Amado Archuleta, Melody Martinez, Jason Martinez, Marcos Ortiz, James, Colleen and Jimmy Gurule; uncles: Larry Maestas and wife Gloria of Española, J.D. Gonzales and wife Stella, Robert Martinez and wife Nancy; cousin, Gabriel Maestas; aunts, Doris Martinez, Lala Martinez, Beatrice Salazar, Martha Serrano and Joann and Rosa Gonzales; numerous other loving relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Rosary will be recited on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: David Ortiz, Jr., Robert Martinez, Meliton Ortiz, Jason Martinez, James Gurule and Marcos Ortiz; honorary pallbearers: Raymond Gonzales, Moses Medina, Abe Baldonando, Benny Vigil, Vidal Martinez, Paul, Michael and Leroy Gonzales, Melody Martinez, Denise and Shannon Ortiz.
