Leroy Martinez Sr.

LEROY MARTINEZ, 66, a resident of Chile, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 8, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ricardo Martinez and Savinta Rodriguez; 2 infant sons, Leroy Martinez, Jr. and Willie Martinez; step-father, Max Duran; God-daughter, Maxine Josephine Valdez; God-son, Paco Martinez and brother, Robert Presley Martinez. Leroy enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his brother, Richard Martinez. He liked fishing with his brother, Faustine, and spending time with all of his grandchildren. He enjoyed helping his friend, Mike, sell piñon. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Martinez is survived by his children, George Martinez and wife Ericka, Leroy Martinez, Jr. and wife Andrea, Lisa Baca and LeeAnne Vigil and husband Davi; mother of his 3 children, Tomasita Martinez; brothers and sisters, Richard Martinez and wife Savina, Faustine Martinez and wife Marlene, Abelina Martinez and Jenny Ruiz; grandchildren, Justin, Ashley, Adrian, Brittany, Leroy III, Johnathon, Angel, Allayah, Jayden, Janelle, Ray, Jr., Jose and Laelah; great-grandchildren, Dezmond, Mia, Jaylen; God-daughter, Sophie DeAguero; sister-in-law, Erlinda Martinez; best friends, Richard Lopez, Steve Mondragon and wife Sabrina and Mike Martinez and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh with a memorial mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at the Chili Cemetery. The family of Leroy Martinez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
