Leroy Martinez

Leroy A. Martinez, a resident of Las Nutrias New Mexico, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017.  He was preceded in death by his parents Manuel A. Martinez and Avenicia Martinez; brother, Gilbert O. Martinez; son, Anthony Paul Martinez and daughter Amanda A. Martinez.  Leroy was a lifelong rancher/cattle producer, and served the New Mexico Livestock Board as a cattle inspector for 27 years. He will be greatly missed by the many who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Martinez; his sons, Gilbert L. Martinez (Jeannene), and Luis E. Martinez (Becky); brother, Epimenio Ulibarri (Julia), sisters Baudelia Mercure (Vicente) and Henrietta Martinez; grandchildren, Angelica, Anthony Paul, Gilbert, and Robert, and special cousin Richard Chang (Bird). A
rosary will be recited on Saturday February 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church in Los Ojos, with a Memorial mass to follow. Burial will be held in Las Nutrias Cemetery. Reception to be held at the former Tierra Amarilla gymnasium which is now part of the Rio Arriba County Complex. The family of Leroy A.
