Leonarda Rodriguez

Leonarda Rodriguez , 89, a resident of Rio Lucio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Rodriguez; parents, Abelino and Genera Gurule; siblings, Benito, Josefina, Juniver, Rosalia, Abelino, Edna and Mejirio Gurule; brother in law, Teodoro Roybal and nephew, Paul Roybal. Mrs. Rodriguez cared for her disabled son Henry Rodriguez for many years and was a wonderful and caring woman. She is survived by her son, Henry Rodriguez; sisters, Ernestine Pacheco (Mike) and Eneda Roybal; sister-in-law, Lillian Gurule; nephew, Johnny Gurule (Shirley); nieces, Billy Gurule (Bella), Carol Duran (Philbert), Jerry Pacheco, Lori Johnson (Kenny), Marvin Roybal, Michael Roybal (Audrey), Lina Cartagena (Carlos) and other numerous relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. also at the San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Gurule Cemetery in Rio Lucio. The family of Leonarda Rodriguez has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
