On behalf of the Rodriguez Family, it is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Leonard Rodriguez from Phoenix, AZ. He passed away April 6, 2023 in Albuquerque, NM following a lengthy illness.

He is preceded in death by his parents Juan and Olympia Rodriguez, brothers Juanito and Richard.

He is survived by his brothers David and wife Katie, Arthur and wife Barbara, sisters Jonah O., Judy and Larry, JoAnn and husband Emilio, Yvonne and Jesse, Sally and Diedre, Elizabeth and husband Jerome, Darlene and husband Gilito, June, and numerous nieces, nephews, and many other loving relatives including aunts and uncles, former partner Joe; special friends, the Jaramillo family from the Rancho de Chimayo, and many other loving friends.

Leonard graduated from Espanola High School. After graduating from high school, he served his Country in the US Air Force specializing in aerial mechanics. He received a drgree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He worked for America West Airlines as a flight attendant for over a decade. Finally, he worked as a handyman and landscaper before his passing.

Leonard lived a full and vibrant life surrounded by family and more friends than one could count. He will be most remembered for his dedication to help others, his creative and artistic talents, his wit and humor, and his handyman/landscaping and culinary skills. He was loved by many and we will all miss him dearly.

Funeral Mass will be held May 4, 2023 at 10:00am at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, 131 Cathedral Place, Santa Fe, NM.

Burial will be held May 5, 2023 at 11:00am at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 North Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe, NM. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a local charity of your choice.
