Leonard Ruben Martinez, 48, a resident of Farmington, formerly of Canjilon passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013 following a short illness. Leonard was preceded in death by his father, Eraldo Martinez; uncle, Antonio J. Martinez; God-son/nephew, Kirby Martinez; nephew, Dennis Romero, Jr.; brothers-in-law, Richard Leyba and Dennis Romero, Sr. Leonard is survived by his wife, Darlene Martinez of Farmington; children, Denise Martinez and fiancé Charles Nieto, Jr. of Denver, Janet Martinez, Maggie Martinez and Alberta Martinez all of Farmington; step-son, Albert Morales of Denver; mother, Adela Martinez of Canjlon; brothers and sisters, Ramona Romero of Española, Norbert Martinez and wife Bea of Farmington, Gabe Martinez of Canjilon, Harold Martinez and wife Berna of Farmington, Marie Barela and husband Tony of Coyote, Diana Villalobos and husband Dario of Farmington, Helen Martinez and husband Kenneth of Española, Della Saiz and husband Al of Aztec, Matthew Martinez and companion Angelica of Chamita, Felipe Martinez and fiancé Gloria of Española, Juanita Salazar and husband Sabino of Canjilon and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at 3:00p.m. at the San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in Canjilo, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 11:00a.m. also at the San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in Canjilo, with burial to follow at the San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Cemetery, serving as pallbearers, Matthew, Gabe, Harold, Felipe, Norbert and Kenneth Martinez.
