Leland James Rogelio - Age 3 - Nambe Valdez

LELAND JAMES ROGELIO VALDEZ, 3, a resident of Nambe, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. He was preceded in death by his great-great-grandparents, Rogelio Valdez, Jose V. and Rose Ortiz; great-great-great-grandparents, Fidencio and Juanita Baca. Leland was a typical baby boy. He was a very loving boy who loved to joke, dance, play basketball and the outdoors. As little as he was he loved to pray and bless everyone. Leland is survived by his father, Andrew J. Valdez and wife Angela of Nambe; sisters, Alyssa Valdez and Teynan Sedillo; brother, Ryan Valdez; paternal grandmother, Sandra Valdez; paternal great-grandparents, Nazario and Consuelo Valdez; uncles, Christopher Martinez and Nicholas Martinez; very loving uncle, Edward Valdez and companion Jennifer Martinez; great-great-maternal grandmother, Petrita Valdez and many uncles, aunts, cousins and a great number of loving relatives. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque with a wake to be held at 7:00 p.m. A second wake will be held on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque. Burial to follow at the Nambe Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Nicholas Martinez, Christopher Martinez, Edward Valdez and Florencio Romero Jr. The family of Leland James Rogelio Valdez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
