LAWRENCE ALBINO SALAZAR, 64, a resident of Hernandez, laid his head to final rest on Tuesday, February 16, 2016. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, Alberto and Ramona Salazar; brothers, Tommy, Rudy and Albert; special friend, Willie Gonzales. Lawrence was known for his talent in carpentry and as a roofer, and loved the outdoors. Lawrence boasted with pride about his three children, daughters, Florence K. Olivas and companion Thomas Escalanti, Loretta Salazar and companion Daniel Martinez, son, Lorenzo Salazar and companion, Trish Abeyta; mother of his children, MaryAnn Martinez; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jesse Jr., Adrian, Jerome, Joshua, and Joseph, great-grandchildren, Khloe, Natalie; his companion Elizabeth Aragon, sisters, Alice and her son Randy Salazar, Jeanette (Jimmy) Sandoval, Sandra (Benjie) Montoya, Grace (David) Romero, and many nephews, nieces and relatives. Public Visitation will begin on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a wake service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church in Hernandez, with a burial to follow at the San Jose Catholic Cemetery.
