Laura Age - 81 - Pojoaque Montoya

Laura Montoya, 81, a resident of Pojoaque passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eufemio and Anita Rivera; brothers: Jose and Armando Rivera; sister-in-law, Anita Rivera; brothers-in-law: Eliseo Baca and Jody Bustos; nephews: Gilbert Rivera, Walter Baca and Danny Montoya. Laura is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joe S. Montoya of Pojoaque; children: Edwin Montoya and wife Laura of Dallas, TX; MaryRose Gerling and husband Chris of Dallas, TX; Leroy Montoya and wife Doreen of Cuyamungue; grandchildren: Dana and Dustin Bingham, Kimberly Montoya, Crystal Montoya, Keri and David Marabal, Kristina and Jan-Tosh Gerling; great-grandson, Ethan Bingham; sisters: Mary Angie Rivera, Susie Baca of Pojoaque, Francis Bustos of Santa Cruz; brothers: Ernestino Rivera, Harold Rivera and wife Francis of Pojoaque; brothers-in-law: Henry Montoya and wife Bertha, Buddy Montoya and wife Avelina of Cuyamungue; numerous other loving relatives & friends. Public visitation will be held on Monday, March 5, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. A second rosary will be recited on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque with burial to take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m. with the following serving as pallbearers: Raul Rivera, Dustin Bingham, Henry Montoya, David Mirabal, Donald Montoya and David Montoya. Honorary pallbearers will be, Jan-Tosh Gerling and Ethan Bingham.
