Laura Mable Rendon

Laura M. Rendon, 91, a resident of Dixon, NM, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Laura was a devout Catholic, loving mother and grandmother. Laura loved to cook, make jelly, care and pray for her family.

Laura was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Antonio H. (Tony) Rendon; her daughter, Geraldine Ann Rendon; her parents: Rosinaldo and Mercedes Romero; her siblings: Jose Romero, Albert Romero, Johnny Romero, Perfie Vigil, Flori Rodriguez, and Isabel Garcia.

Laura is survived by her daughter Gloria and her husband Raymond Maestas; her sons: Anthony and his wife Lucy Rendon, Frank and his wife Barbara Rendon, Robert and his wife Annabelle Rendon; her grandchildren: Marcos and Marissa Maestas, Sarah and Samantha Rendon, Nicole (Juan Maestas), Frankie and Brandon Rendon, Eric, Chris, Amy and Adam Rendon; her great grandchildren: Izabella and Marisella Rendon; Dominic, Brayden, Aubrey and Jacob Maestas; Dylen Rendon and her siblings: Leroy (Irene) Romero, Rosinaldo Romero Jr.,  Priscilla Salazar,  Octavio (Mariquita) Romero.  Laura also leaves behind her wonderful lifelong friend Julia Valdez, a close sister-in-law Evila Rendon, and many special nieces, nephews, relatives, godchildren, and friends.

A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Dixon, with mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at the Father Kupper Cemetery in Embudo.  Serving the family as pallbearers are Raymond Maestas and Lucy Rendon.

Laura was a wonderful, caring wife, mother, grandmother, Nina and friend. She was loved by her family and will be dearly missed.
