Larry Sanchez

Larry F. Sanchez , 61, a lifelong resident of La Puebla, N.M. passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17th, 2019 with his daughter and grandbaby at his side. Larry was a well known contractor who took joy in creating something out of nothing. His tile remodels were a work of art and he could fix anything. He enjoyed fishing, vacations to Mexico, farming, cars, and spending time with friends and family. His grandbaby Liliana was the light of his life. They spent their mornings “cruising” around in his wheelchair. Larry was loyal, generous, helpful, and could put a smile on anyone’s face. His laughter was truly contagious, and he is greatly missed. Larry was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Teofilo and Maria Abeyta, mother Sally Abeyta, best friend and son, Bryan Sanchez, uncles; Wences, Epimenio, and Tony Abeyta, aunts; Severa DeAguero and Senaida Quintana and best friend Michael Lopez. He is survived by his loving daughter, Elena Bauer and husband Emmet, precious grandchildren Little Emmet and Lilliana Bauer, mother of his children, Rita Sanchez, and countless relatives and friends. The family would like to thank to his doctors and Ambercare Hospice for the wonderful respect and care Larry received during his final days. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lighthouse Church in Chimayo. The family of Larry F. Sanchez has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home of the Espanola Valley.
