KENNY S. LUCERO, 52, a resident of Vallecitos passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2012. He was born April 20, 1960. He loved outdoors, especially hunting, hand fishing and hauling wood. He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Savino Lucero; grandparents, Benigno and Raquel Chavez, Doreteo and Teresita Lucero; uncles: Johnny, Fidel, Gilbert and Lazarro Lucero, Adolfo and Hipolito Chavez; aunts: Estefanita Maez, Ruth Clavery, Amy Chavez and Bertha Gurule; cousins, Gerald Gurule, Cheryl Chavez, Adolfo Chavez and Gary Martinez. Mr. Lucero is survived by his mother, Charlotte Martinez and husband Lorenzo of Española; sons: Kenneth Joshua Lucero of La Madera, Kenny William Lucero of Colorado; granddaughter, Trinity Lucero of La Madera; twin brother, Benny Lucero and wife Melinda of Gysum, CO; brother, Sammy Lucero and wife Ruth; sisters, Yvonne Herrera and husband Rudy of El Rito, Colleen Martinez and fiancé TJ of Española, sister and God-daughter, Marlena Diaz and husband Michael of Española; aunts/uncles: Waldo Lucero and wife Ofrie, Roman Lucero and wife Susie, Rosina Lucero, Tillie and Griselda Chavez; nieces and nephews: Rebecca, Valerie, Francina and Hailey, Rosalie, Renae, Brianne, Michael, Gilbert, Jerrica, Shuana, Dylan and Anthony; close cousin, Levi Gurule; numerous other loving relatives & friends. Public visitation will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a devotional service to be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at the Vallecitos United Methodist Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Randy Vigil, Johnny Lucero, Steve Chavez, Michael Martinez, Sr., Roman Lucero and Paul Rivera. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be all of his nieces, nephews and cousins. The family of Kenny S.
