Kenney Martinez

It is with a heavy heart to say that our precious son, brother, uncle, and friend, Kenney (Kennito) Joseph Martinez, 34, was called by our Lord to be his angel on Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Kenney touched many hearts with his consideration and desire to help others. Born and raised in Santa Fe, he was currently living in Chimayo. Kenney was a manager at Pizza Hut and enjoyed every minute he spent there. Kenney was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Miguel, Tonita and Samuel Martinez and maternal grandmother, Adelia Trujillo. Kenney is survived by his father, Mike Martinez; mother, Evelyn Baca; step-father, Orlando Baca; sisters, Renee Martinez, Tammie Garcia and husband Bobby; brother, Mike Martinez and wife Jennifer; nephews, Mikey, Miguel and Phoenix Martinez, and nieces, Lisa Marie, Tiffany, Domonique, Brittney, and Gabrielle Martinez in addition to numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. A rosary will be recited on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo.  A memorial mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 10.00 a.m. also at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo with burial to follow at Nuestra Señora de Dolores Cemetery in Chimayo.  The family of Kenney Joseph Martinez has entrusted the care of our loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
