KATHLYN “KAT” OLIVIA MARTINEZ ROYBAL, 43, departed this earth to be with the Lord, carried by the Christmas angels in the early morning of Tuesday, December 20, 2016. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Olivia Martinez and Albert and Maggie Roybal; nina, Carolina Griego; aunt and uncle, Cruz and Ramon Seña, uncle, Joe Howard Martinez and cousin, Joey Mondragon. Ms. Roybal is survived by her only son, Dominic Joe Roybal Parra; mother, Jennifer Martinez Alires; father, Eddie Roybal, Sr., beloved brothers, Jason Roybal and Eddie J. Roybal, Jr.; sister, Crystal Roybal; nephews, Elijah and Victor, beloved nina, Yvonne Seña; nino, Sammy Griego, beloved aunt, Doreen Martinez with whom she had a special connection with and the many other aunt, uncles, cousins not mentioned by name but they all had a special place in her heart. She is also survived and sadly preceded in death by the many people she touched and tried to help throughout her life with her kindness, giving spirit and open heart. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. in The Chapel of Peace at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Velarde. Burial to follow at the Velarde Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Cipriano Marquez, J.P. Sena, Richard Sena, David Muniz, Nathaniel Mangas, Earl Roybal, Johnny Roybal and Danny Roybal.
