Katherine "Annette" - age 53 - Alca Gonzalez

Katherine “Annette” Gonzalez, 53, a resident of Alcalde, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, March 8, 2014. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ciria and David Martinez, Paternal grandfather, Francisco Tafoya. Katherine is survived by her mother, Cecilia Tafoya, father, Jose Eli Tafoya and Spouse; companion, Tony Romero; daughter, Cassandra Romero and husband Steven; three grandchildren, Damien, Aaron, and Atreyo Romero; ex-husband, Toby Gonzales, and all the loving Gonzales family; step-daughter, Sally Roybal (Randy); grandchildren, Amber, Randy Paul, Phillip, and Damian Roybal; step-son, John Paul; sisters, Darlene Trujillo (Nick), Susan Martinez, Michelle Varos (Kenny), Johnny Tafoya (Myra), Veronica Anderson, and numerous nieces, nephews, and god children; and a very special niece Rhonda Tafoya-Sanchez. Public visitation will begin on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh, with a burial to follow at La Villita Cemetery in Alcalde. The family of Katherine Gonzalez has entrusted their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.\r\n
