Julie Valdez

Julie Martha Valdez, 67, a resident of Vadito passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her mother, Belen Sanchez; sister, Norma Sanchez; son-in-law, Ernesto Gonzales, Jr.; grandsons, Steven and Justin Valdez and great-granddaughter, Adianna Jacquez. Julie was a woman with a heart of gold like no other. Julie had a passion for gardening and loved doing laundry and cooking; but most of all she loved to spend all her time with her children and grandchildren that were her whole world. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and sister. She is going to be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her so much. Mrs. Valdez is survived by her lifelong companion of 47 years, Steve Valdez; father, Rodolfo Sanchez; children, Wayne Valdez (Elisa), Dolly Valdez (Kelvin Lopez), Anita Gonzales (Tony Herrera), Ricky Valdez (LeeAnn Valdez), Matilda Valdez (Jeremiah Muniz); grandchildren, Candace Muniz (Joel), Brianna Valdez (Justin), Angel Gonzales (Michael), Ernesto Gonzalez III (Cassandra ), Kassandra Vigil (Angelo), Ricky Valdez (Khristan), Jamie Muniz (Mia), Jazlyn Muniz, and Allison; great-grandchildren, Dannikah and baby Baca, Alexis and Alexiana Valdez, Noah Martinez and Delilah; siblings, Jerry, Connie, Gilbert, Carol, Jessie, Josephine Lorraine and Charlie and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the San Antonio de Padua de Padua in Penasco, with a Memorial Mass to follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be held In Vadito at a later date.
