Julian - 71 - La Villita Ortiz

Julian D. Ortiz, 71, a resident from La Villita, passed away peacefully from a lengthily illness on Sunday, September 15, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents; Florida and Julian Ortiz, daughter, Carla Dean- Ortiz, sister, Lucille Montoya, brothers, Joe, Mike, and Paul Ortiz. Julian was best known as a barber in White Rock for 45 years. Julian is survived by his wife Joann of 46 years, 3 daughters, Annette Vigil, Julie Romero, Denise Trujillo, 2 sons, Donnie Ortiz and wife Brenda, and Timmy Ortiz, 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Ernie Ortiz and wife Marylou, Frank Ortiz and wife Angela, 2 sisters, Edna Maestas and husband Edward, Carrie Mae Martinez and husband Chris. A rosary will be recited on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Alcalde; Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with a burial to follow at La Villita Cemetery. \r\n \r\n
