Juanita M. Age-85 - El Rito Alire

Juanita M. Alire, 85, a resident of El Rito went home to her “Jesus” on Friday, September 7, 2012. Juanita worked at the Rio Arriba Health Centers, in El Rito for many years, Ojo Caliente Schools, La Fonda in Santa Fe and JCNNM, in Los Alamos where she retired from in 1989. Our Mama was an exceptional woman with a big loving heart for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aniceto Alire; parents, Tomas and Teodosia Marquez; son, Larry Alire; grandson, Larry Nick Ocaña; in-laws: Narciso and Margarita Alire; brother-in-law, Jose Alire. Juanita is survived by four daughters: Gloria (Juan) Martinez of Medanales, Sylvia (Tommy) Ocaña, Joanne (Nick) Ocaña, Dina Alire (Chris) all of El Rito; three sons: Toby (Marie) of La Villita, Andrew (Carla) of Española and Michael of the family home; siblings: Celia (Mike) Trujillo of Glendale, Arizona, Amelia (Joe-deceased) of El Rito, Marcelina (Mike – deceased) Gallegos of Los Alamos, Grace (Robert) Martinez and Mary (Leonard) Vigil of Española; brothers: Tomas (Linda) Marquez and Max (Vangie) Marquez of El Rito; sister-in-law, Frances and Horace Jaramillo of Albuquerque; grandchildren: Peggy, Jennifer, Sharon, Jeremy, Joseph, Monique, Diana, Candace, Michael Jr., and Bianca; 8 great-grandchildren; numerous other loving relatives & friends. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in El Rito with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in El Rito. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be: Joseph Ocaña, Mikey and Jeremy Alire, Isidoro and Justin Martinez and Chris Ocaña; honorary pallbearers: Sharon Alire, Diana Ocaña, Jennifer and Peggy Martinez and Candace Alire.
