Juanita Vigil

JUANITA A. VIGIL, 89, a lifelong resident of Chimayo, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 8, 2016 following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Celestino and Esquipula Vigil; brothers, Ricardo, Antonio J. and Trinidad Vigil; sister, Ramona V. Garcia. Juanita loved the outdoors, working on her garden and working with wood. Ms. Vigil is survived by her brother, Jose de la Cruz Vigil of Los Alamos and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends; special friend, Jim Roberts. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in  the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Chimayo Presbyterian Cemetery. Serving the family has pallbearers, Gilbert and Celestino Vigil, Matthew Roybal, Emmanuel Trujillo, Leonardo Jimenez and Steve Holliday. The family of Juanita A.
