JUAN GEORGE MARTINEZ, 56, a resident of Fairview, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 20, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan Estevan and Estella B. Martinez; brother-in-law, Fidel Martinez, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Antonio and Senaida Bustos and paternal grandparents, Antonio and Manuelita Martinez. George was born on April 20, 1955 in Ranchitos. He worked as a pipefitter for many years and also worked different jobs to help many people. He was a professional mechanic, plumber and electrician. He loved camping, fishing and hunting with friends. He had many friends and devoted his life to his family and helping those in need. He lived one day at a time and did not worry about the past, present or future. He had a joyful personality and was humorous and his down to earth attitude touched everyone’s heart. Mr. Martinez is survived by his children, Estevan Martinez and wife Arianna and Melissa War and companion; grandchildren, Jessie Archuleta and Joshua Gallegos; sister, Angie Martinez and companion Edmund; brother, Albert Martinez and wife Joan; aunts and uncles, Mike and Gabe Bustos, Ernesto Macernie and companion Renae Archuleta, Margaret Bustos, Antonio Martinez and wife Fortunata, Raymond Martinez, Teresa Salazar, Mercedes Martinez, Ramona Martinez; special nephew, Jon Carlo and wife Vallerie Martinez; nephew, Robbie Martinez; nieces: Anissa Martinez, Jovan and Johnnie Johnson, Julie and Nick Pacheco; many cousins, and other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Rosary will be recited on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with Mass of Christian burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
