Juan “El Compita” Dominguez, 48, a resident of Arroyo Seco, born in San Luis Potosi SLP, Mexico passed away from injuries in an automobile accident on Friday, May 11, 2012. Juan was a talented chef and known for his decorative fruit trays for many years. Juan enjoyed being among family and friends. He loved dancing, singing and listening to music. He also loved watching his favorite team the Dallas Cowboys and soccer in SLP, Mexico. Juan was preceded in death by his brothers: Jose Marcelino and Rogelio Dominguez; maternal grandparents: Rafaela Ortiz and Saturnino Sanchez; paternal grandparents: Santiago and Maria Concepcion Dominguez; father-in-law, Miguel Valdez and mother-in-law, Eloisa Valdez and Mabel Garcia. Juan is survived by his spouse, Mercy; son, Juanito; daughters: Marisol, Valerie and companion Samantha; granddaughter, Jocelyn; mother, Gregoria Dominguez; father, Santiago Dominguez; brothers: Santiago and wife Mary Ann of Guachupangue, NM, Victor and wife Geraldine of Arroyo Seco, NM, Felipe Dominguez and companion Patricia Vigil of Cuarteles, NM; sisters: Maria Elena and husband Jose Espiricueta, Maricela and husband Jose Vasquez of Arroyo Seco, NM, Rosalba and husband Lupe Medina of SLP, Mexico; father-in-law, Jesus Garcia of Alamosa, CO; special sisters-in-law: Barbara Vigil and Kay Pacheco and Luana Trujillo. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church in Hernandez with burial to follow at San Jose Catholic Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be: Virgil V. Vigil, Francisco Gimenez, Santiago and Francisco Dominguez, Manuel, Miguel and David Espiricueta, and Luis Vasquez; honorary pallbearers: Felipe, Santiago and Victor Dominguez, Chips, Clyde, Ramsey, Chastity, Logan, Evan Vigil, Cindy Pacheco, Jude Oka, Astrid Monterroso and Jocelyn Lujan.
