JUAN C. MARTINEZ, 28, a resident of Ojo Caliente, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 following an automobile accident. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ben and Grace Martinez and uncles, Tommy and Raymond Martinez. He loved the outdoors and loved going for wood with his brothers and step-dad. He enjoyed video games with his girls who were his pride and joy and loved spending time with them. He was a wonderful father. Mr. Martinez is survived by his father, Feliciano Espino Garcia; mother and step-father, Pauline Vigil and husband Randy; children, Tiana and Hailey Martinez; brothers, Benny Martinez and companion Judy Campos and Toby Martinez and companion Denise Barela; uncles and aunts, Jasper and Michael Martinez, Terry Martinez and wife Teresa, Ercelia Hernandez and companion Eluid Mondragon, Dora Martinez and God-mother/aunt, Olivia Jackson; God-father, Benjamin Perez; nephew, Eric Martinez; niece, Natalie Martinez and numerous other relatives and friends. A public visitation will begin on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 4:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at La Divina Pastora Catholic Church in Petaca. Burial to follow at La Petaca Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Benny and Toby Martinez, Jordan Coles, Felipe and Ignacio Sisneros, Benjamin Perez, John Vigil and Eric Martinez. Honorary pallbearers named are, Noel Chacon, Frank Dominguez, Jordan Dominguez and Moris Vigil. The family of Juan C. Martinez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
