Josina M. - Age 82 - El Guique Herrera

Josina M. Herrera, 82, a resident of El Guique passed away Friday, January 21, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ambrosio and Lina Martinez; brother, Jose; mother-in-law, Rosalia Trujillo; father-in-law, Juan Gabriel Herrera. Josina is survived by her husband of 61 years, Cicilio Herrera; son, Lino Herrera and wife Barbara; daughters: Linda Garcia and husband Leroy, Cecilia Herrera and companion Todd Cruz, Viola Herrera and companion Charlie; grandson raised like a son, Chris Edmonds; grandchildren: Valerie Archuleta and husband Leroy, Lino Jr. Herrera and wife Elisha, Ross Garcia and wife Alberta, Matthew Garcia and wife Criselia, Steven Garcia and companion Leona, Nicole Edmonds, Angela Moe; 16 great-grandchildren; many other loving family & friends. Public visitation will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 24, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church in Ohkay Owingeh with burial to follow at the San Rafael Cemetery in El Guique with the following serving as pallbearers: Ross Garcia, Steven Garcia, Matthew Garcia, Lino Herrera Jr., Leroy Archuleta, Todd Cruz. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: all of her great-grandchildren.
