Joshua Jordan

d. September 10, 2021

Joshua Daniel Jordan, also known as Viktoria or “Vi”, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 21 on Friday, September 10th, 2021, in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Vi was born September 29, 1999, to Vincent Thomas and Melinda Carol (Gray) Jordan in Longmont, Co. Vi attended Altona Middle School where they competed in track and field and won several RAPTOR awards for science and linguistics. Vi also attended and graduated from Silver Creek High School in 2018. Vi joined Aletheia International Ministries on a mission trip to South Africa where they aided in gathering food and supplies for local children’s orphanages. After high school, Vi was accepted into the University of Colorado in Boulder where they studied Astrophysics. During this time, Vi registered as an organ and tissue donor; successfully donating life-saving stem cells and bone marrow to a young child in Texas. In 2020, Vi took a pause from school and moved with their partner (Schuyler Del Castillo) to Santa Fe, NM to look for work opportunities.

Anyone who knew Vi, knew they had an immense passion for Astronomy, and most recently enjoyed being an advocate for human, civil and animal rights. Vi was an avid environmentalist with an uncanny sense of humor and desire for adventure including: flying, sky diving, and bungee jumping. Vi’s presence is sorely missed, and their loss is deeply felt.

Vi leaves behind parents Melinda Jordan of Longmont, Co, and Vincent Jordan of Ft. Meyers, Florida; Grandfather Edward H. Gray of Longmont, Co; siblings Apryl Jordan of Longmont, Co, Josiah Jordan of Wellington, NZ, Jeremiah (Lindsay) Jordan of Kalispell, MT, Vinny Jordan of Jackson, MS, and Rachel (Michael Bezzina) Jordan of Brighton, Co; Nieces Lua and Ember, partner Schuyler "Skyy" Del Castillo of Pojoaque, NM, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins further survive Vi.

We hope Vi is met with open arms by Grandmother June Gray, sister-in-law Amber Jordan, and nephew Eli Jordan. Grandparents Buck and Hope Jordan also precede Vi in death.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice in Vi’s name as well as bethematch.org, and stopline3.org
