\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n Jose Roquez Chavez Age 74, a resident of El Guique passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Miguel and Rosarito Chavez; sister, Molly Gallegos; in-laws, Apolina and Felix Espinoza; sister-in-law, Orlinda Martinez and brother-in-law, Clortario Martinez. Surviving him is his wife of 55 years, Socorro Chavez; sons, Wilfred and wife Bernice, Rocky, Michael and wife Victoria, all of El Guique, Clarence and wife Josefita of El Llano; grandson whom he raised, Aaron Chavez of the home; grandchildren, Alberta Vigil, Albert, Miguel, Christopher, Nicolas and Matthew Chavez, Ericka, Apryl and Michael Velasquez; great-grandchildren, B.J. and Kymberly Vigil and Brandyn Gomez; brothers, Ben and wife Lucy, Miguel and wife Erma, Soraida and husband Henry Pacheco, and brother-in-law, Juan Espinoza and wife Rose. Cremation arrangements have taken place. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church; burial will take place at the San Rafael Cemetery in El Guique.
