Josephine - Age 98 - Sombrillo - Quintana

JOSEPHINE “JOSIE” QUINTANA, 98, a resident of Sombrillo, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 5, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Quintana; sons, Alex, Freddie, Ernie and Arthur Quintana and granddaughter, Yvonne Sanchez. Mrs. Quintana is survived by her children, Rickie Sanchez, Jimmy Quintana and wife Thelma and Johnny Quintana and wife Kathy; sisters, Nora Hartford, Beatrice Salazar, Toni Serrano and Mannie Lynch; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial to follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Constantine Tzortzis, Gabriel Rodella, George Sanchez, Jim Quintana, Norman Sanchez and Sidney Quintana. The family of Josephine “Josie” Quintana has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
