\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n JOSEPH I. RODRIGUEZ, 88, a resident of Santa Cruz, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Friday, February 12, 2010. He was preceded in death by his infant daughters, Barbara Jean Rodriguez and Rose Mary Rodriguez and parents, Antonio and Genoveva Rodriguez. Joseph worked as a plumber and pipefitter for Zia Company in Los Alamos. He was very active with La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed making wood furniture and other wood projects and helping others was his passion. Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his wife, Higinia Rodriguez of Santa Cruz; daughter, Laura Marie Rodriguez of Aurora, CO; son, Joe Rodriguez of Santa Cruz; grandson, Jeremy Rodriguez and wife Dynell of Arizona; great-granddaughter, Jocelyn Rodriguez of Arizona; sister, Laura Mascareñas of CO and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A rosary will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Monday, February 15, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial follow at 10:00 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Jeremy Rodriguez, Raymond Chavez, Peter Velarde II, Eliseo Quintana, Paul Martinez and Ronnie Jimenez. Honorary pallbearers named are, Matthew Bustos, Bobby Baros, Marcelino Quintana, Michael Martinez, Tomas and Antonio Garcia, Nelson Cournoyer and Timmy Gurule.
