Joseph Lopez

Joseph Lopez, age 43, a resident of Cordova, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015. He was preceded in death by his mother, Flora Lopez; great grandparents, Rosarito and Vidal Trujillo; cousins, Donny and Amanda Romero. Joseph loved his children, being a father gave him the most joy. He loved watching football, and his team the Dallas Cowboys. Joseph will be dearly missed and loved by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Lopez is survived by his daughters, Analise, Adriana and Isabella F. Lopez; son, Joseph R. Lopez; dad, Jose Lopez; mother to Analise and Adriana, Melissa Lopez; mother to Isabella and Joseph, Roberta Viarreal; sisters, Diana Candelaria and husband Gilbert, Veronica Martinez and husband Jerry, Patricia Varady and husband Daniel and Nicole Pacheco; special nieces and nephews, Danny and Dominic Martinez, Megan Martinez, Benny Lujan, Miranda Lujan and Katlynn Lujan, Angelica Zeliz, and Rudy Zaready; like a brother, Christopher Trujillo; as well as many relatives and friends. Pubic visitation will begin on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo, with a burial to follow at the Cordova Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Gilbert Candelaria, Jerry Martinez, Daniel Varady, Chris Trujillo, Danny Martinez, Dominic Martinez, Nicole Pacheco, and Ben Lujan.
