Joseph Jesus "Chuey" Garcia

Joseph Jesus “Chuey” Garcia, age 44, passed peacefully at home on November 24, 2024, after battling a lengthy illness. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Lucille Garcia and brother Jody Garcia. 

Chuey is survived by his fiancé and caretaker Debbie Sanchez, son Justin Garcia who was his pride and joy, special daughter Kaitlyn Romero, beloved sister Judy Garcia (Noodles), brother Leroy Lopez, nephew who he was proud of Johnny Garcia (Kasey), 3 beautiful great nieces Josie, Violet and Alexys Garcia, his wonderful in laws Carlos and Joann Sanchez, sister-in-law Sheila Sanchez (Anthony), brother-in-law Felipe (Denise), special aunt Liz Quintana (Larry), and numerous friends and family. 

Chuey was quiet and to himself but was quite the character when you got to know him. He loved working with electronics and playing video games with his J. He also loved his Raiders and listening to music. He will be missed by many. 

The family would like to give a special thank you to his father-in-law Carlos, who stood by Chueys side during his difficult medical journey.

A Public Viewing will take place on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at DeVargas Funeral Home and a Rosary will follow at 6:00 p.m. A Mass and burial will take place at a later date.
