Joseph - Age 33 - El Rito - Ocaña -

Joseph Steven Ocaña, age 33, a resident of El Rito, passed away unexpectedly on October, 22, 2013. Joseph was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Jose and Lola Ocaña, Tomas and Teodosia Marquez and Rosa Griego; maternal grandparents, Aniceto and Juanita Alire; uncle, Christobal Ocaña and cousins, Joanne and Larry Nick Ocaña. Joseph will always be remembered of being a loving and caring person. He loved the great outdoors, especially his family with an unconditional love that they will always treasure. Joseph is survived by his loving parents, Tommy and Sylvia Ocaña; sister, Monique; Joseph’s companion, Zia Loya; children, Selena, Sebastian and Cruzito; grandparents, Eutimo and Mary Ocaña; uncles, Filiberto Ocaña, Lizandro (Mabel), Arthur (Yolanda), Nick (Joanne), Toby (Marie), Andrew (Carla) and Michael; aunts, Ceria Ocaña, Joyce (Richard), Lola, Gloria (Johnny), Dina (Chris); a very special friend, Cindy Lopez and companion Gabriel and her children, Sativa, Espy and Kayla; as well as numerous other loving relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at the San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in El Rito with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, October 27, 2013. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 11:00 am. also at the San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in El Rito. Burial to follow at the El Rito Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Lorenzo del Rito, Jason Lucas, Michael Alire, Lino Tapia, Gabriel Chavez, Antonio Ocaña, Jeffery Benson and Ricky Archuleta. Honorary pallbearers and very special cousins, will be Diana Ocaña, Sharon Alire, Jeremy Alire, Bianca Alire, Peggy Martinez, Jennifer Martinez, Candace Alire, Lorie Sanchez, Janice and Crystal Martinez, Amber and Cassandra Ocaña and Geronimo Alire. The family of Joseph Steven Ocaña has entrusted the care of their beloved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory of the Española Valley.
