\r\nJose Lauriano Vigil (AKA Nano), 80, a resident of Medanales, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 6 2014. \r\n \r\n2 Timothy 4:7\r\n“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”\r\n \r\nNano was born on December 21, 1933 to the late Romelo and Viviana C. Vigil. He was the oldest of 8 children with six sisters and one brother. Nano had three children, Irving, Joyce and Sandra (June) Vigil, three grandchildren, Connie Vigil, Carlos Vigil, Isaac Brown, and many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. Nano worked for many years throughout the state as a house mover with Waterman INC., and later for Cooks Mercantile until his retirement. He devoted most of his time to his small family ranch. He loved to farm and garden, He was known for growing some of the finest melons in the area. He will be greatly missed by his family who loved him dearly. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Templo Zion Assembly of God church in Hernandez. The family of Jose Vigil has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
