Jose Jerbacio Age - 69 - Medanales Herrera

Jose Jerbacio Herrera, 69, a resident of Medanales passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2012. Jose was born in Medanales, NM. He had a heart of gold and was very forgiving and would give away whatever he had. His generosity was over whelming. His Biblical knowledge and quoted Bible scriptures was a blessing to his family. His many years of physical suffering, prepared him to die in peace, further testimony to his strong belief in God. He died surrounded by: Edward, Rosina and Anna Marie and will be dearly and deeply missed. Jose was preceded in death by his parents, Amabilis and Olivama Herrera; paternal grandparents, Estevan and Juanita Herrera; maternal grandparents, Belarmino and Josefita Martinez; brother-in-law, Tomas Martinez; nephews: Eugene Martinez and Marcos Sena. Jose is survived by brother, Edward Herrera of Santa Fe; sisters: Rosina Martinez of Santa Cruz, Evan Herrera Gamboa of Torrance, California, Mary Sena (David) of Albuquerque; nephews: Tomas Martinez II and Eric Sena; nieces: Patricia Martinez, Anna Marie Valdez, Bridgit Martinez, Deanna and Linda Gamboa; grand nephews: Tomas Martinez III, Jonathan, Antonio and Joshua Martinez; grand niece, Felicia Valdez; aunts: Annie Ramirez of Hawthorne, California and Alice Martinez of Española; special friends of the family, Isabelle Maestas, and Elmer Fresquez; godmother, Eppie Archuleta; numerous other loving relatives & friends. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. The family of Jose Jerbacio Herrera have entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
