Jose Herminio - Age 92 - El Guique - Casados

JOSE HERMINIO CASADOS, 92, a resident of El Guique, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Adela Casados; father, Simon Casados; son, Leroy Casados; grandchildren, Keith Alarid, Robert Montoya, and Andrew Casados. Herminio was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was passionate about his land and working on the farm. He enjoyed selling the fruits of his labor, chili, corn and melons. His cattle was his pride and joy. One of his passions was going hunting with his family. He will be dearly missed. Mr. Casados is survived by his children, Ralph A. Casados and wife Lorraine, Adan Casados and wife Gwen of Española, Benjamin Joseph Casados of El Guique, Dorothy Borrego and husband Roland of Española, Sharon Serna of Española, Angela Schrandt and husband John of El Guique, and Joey Casados and wife Jane of El Guique; beloved dog, Bonita; sisters, Louisa Martinez and Lydia Martinez both of El Guique and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. A wake service will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial will be held on Friday June 13, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family of Jose Herminio Casados has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
