Jose H. - Age 82 - Dixon Valdez

Jose H. Valdez, 82, a resident of Dixon passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 after a short illness. He loved to farm, fish and hunt. Jose loved to make chicos, and grow green chili and loved to watch westerns on TV. He retired from Utica Lumber Company. Jose was preceded in death by his parents: Agapito and Eloisa Valdez; brothers: Jose N. Valdez, Tony Valdez, Harold and Enoch Valdez; sisters: Dorothy Givens, Mary Lucas, Sadie High and Edwina Gomez. He is survived by his son, James F. Valdez and wife Carmen of Pueblo, CO; grandson: Lt. Shane Whilite Valdez who is in the United States Marine Corp; sisters: Nila Martinez of Las Vegas, NV; Ruth Prosor of California; Rita Payne of Alabama; numerous other relatives & friends. Services are pending. The family of Jose Valdez have entrusted he care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
