Jose Guadalupe - Age 66 Atencio

Jose Guadalupe Atencio (Wally), 66, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2010 following a lengthy illness. He is preceded in death by his parents, Moises and Benancia Atencio; sisters: Minerva Archuleta, Delilah Atencio and Esther Morales; brother, Umberto Atencio; nephews: Moises Morales Jr. and Willie Morales. Jose is survived by his little turtle Ellen Herrera; brothers and sisters: Juan Atencio and wife Trinnie of Chimayo, Rose Valdez and husband Juan of Canjilon, Amada Rodriguez and husband Ray of Taos, Larry Atencio of Canjilon; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Theresa and Lupe Vigil, Ben and Pauline Arellano, Gilbert and Carol Arellano, Patricia and Ruben Lujan, Rose and Don Vogt, Veronica and Alfonso Chacon, Edwardo Herrera; step-children: David Moya, Jackie Sanchez, Rudy Moya and Joann Gallegos, Alex and Wendy Moya; grandchildren: Rudy, Miranda, Briana, Alexandra, Angelyka, Samantha, Kayla, Joshua, Isabel; great-grandchild, Josiah; a very special niece, Minerva Jaramillo; several nieces and nephews and extended family & friends. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a wake to follow at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 8, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Dixon Presbyterian Church in Dixon. Burial to follow at Dixon Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Rudy Moya Jr., Ronald Sanchez Jr., Alex Moya, Ed Herrera, Ruben Archuleta and Amarante Valdez; honorary pallbearers: David Moya and Rudy Moya.
