Jose Fernando Chacon

Our Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather JOSE FERNANDO CHACON also known as FERNANDEZ , 94, a resident of Canon Plaza, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 17, 2018. Fernandez was preceded in death by his parents, Desiderio and Sara Chacon; 9 siblings and their spouses, Fernandez was the last of his generation.  He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Odelsa Chacon of Canon Plaza; children, Loretta (Jim Szudy) of Chino Hills, CA, Johnny Chacon (Leigh) of Amarillo, TX, Lee-Roy Chacon (Nelva) of Rio Rancho, and Evangeline (Robert Schoonover) of Riverside, CA; grandchildren, Sarah (Ivan Lorenzana) and their child, Benjamin Lorenzana, Morgan (Joe Henry), Melissa Chacon, Aaron and Ethan Schoonover, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Espanola. Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Canon Plaza Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Morgan and Joe Henry, Sara Lorenzana, Aaron and Ethan Schoonover, Michael Ortega and Benjamin Lorenzana. Honorary pallbearer will be Melissa Chacon. The family would like to thank everyone who helped in any way. The family of Jose Fernando (Fernandez) Chacon has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
