Josefa Samora

Josefa “Josie” Samora, age 52, a resident of Chama, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016 in Española. She was born on August 4, 1963 in Ensenada to Jose Nemecio and Maria Josefa Samora. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Patsy, Ermerlinda and Simonacita Samora; and her spouse, Emilio Madrid. Josie is survived by her daughters, Charity Moya (Joshua) of Chama and Tabetha Madrid (Harold) of Chama; grandchildren, Danikka, Emilio and Maliah Ortiz all of Chama; companion of many years, Wayne Archuleta of Chama; brothers and sisters, Felipe Samora (Cindy) of Chama, Elaine Samora of Amarillo, TX., Amelia Samora (Jimmy) of Chama, Candido Samora (Valerie) of Ensenada, Antonio Samora (Barbara) of Chama, Erlinda Samora of Chama, Elifar Samora (Valerie) of Chama; special uncle and aunt who she loved dearly, Alfonso and Pressy Samora of Ensenada. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Santo Nino Parish in Los Ojos, with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at a later date. A meal will be held at the St. Patrick’s Parish Hall in Chama, NM Assisting as pallbearers will be, Harold Ortiz, Joshua Aguilar, Elifar Samora, Simona Samora, Ambrose Madrid and Susie Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be Felicia Vigil, Vanessa Sanchez, Danette Montoya, Levi Madrid, Pinkie Petago, Karen Karr, Monica Nuemyer, Derby Notsinneh and Nathan Rivas.
