JOSE AMARANTE VALDEZ, 47, a resident of Canjilon, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Rose Valdez and brother, Vailquin Valdez. He was born July 7, 1966 in Canjilon. He loved spending his time hunting, fishing, riding horses, and working on the Valdez Ranch in Canjilon. Mr. Valdez is survived by his children, Shyann and JC Valdez and Alicia Million; sisters, Juanita Montoya of Canjilon, Deborah Ulibarri of Los Alamos, Luisa Valdez of Española, Tanya Valdez of Española, and Amada Valdez of Canjilon; brother, Reyes Valdez of Abiquiu; companion, Becky Romero of Arroyo Seco and many nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.
