Jose Teodoro “Ted” Sacarias Trujillo, 95, August 28, 1921 - September 30, 2016

Teodoro was a devoted husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend to all.  He grew up in Coyote, NM.  As a young man he served in the Army during World War II as a combat engineer with the 347th Engineers G.S. REG.  After the War he returned to his beloved Coyote where he married Antonia.  He worked and retired from the US Forest Service, Coyote Ranger District, He was also life long rancher and loved tending to his Cattle.

Teodoro was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Antonia Rita Trujillo, Son- Roger A. Trujillo, Parents- Gonzalo and Celina Trujillo, Brothers- Apolinario Trujillo, Endalesmo Trujillo (Manulita); Parents-in-law- Juan Luis and Juanita Rodriguez; Brothers-in-law- Lugardo Rodriguez (Candelaria), Manuel Rodriguez (Elvira), Luis Rodriguez (Salome); Sisters-in-law- Eloisa Vigil, Adelina Martinez (Fidel), Celia Cruz (Desiderio); Grandson- Shawn Trujillo

Teodoro is survived by his loving children, Vitalia and Antonio Serrano of Grand Junction, Co, Mary Ann Vigil and Michael Pena of Espanola, Piedad and Jose Chavez of Espanola, Cora Trujillo of Rio Rancho, Arturo and Cathy Trujillo of Chimayo, Ruth and Donny Cordova of Rio Chama, Ray and Connie Trujillo of Coyote, Gabriel and Geraldine Trujillo of San Pedro, Lupe and Simon Gonzalez of Grand Junction, Co, Gonzalo and Barbara Trujillo of Santa Cruz, John and Debbie Trujillo of Rio Rancho, Ted and Nora Trujillo of Santa Cruz, Paul Trujillo of Chimayo, Karl and Christina Trujillo of Rio Rancho;  39 Grandchildren and 64 Great-Grandchildren and one Great-Great Grandchild; Sister, Cleotilde Salazar (Leo) of Coyote; Sister-in-law, Adelires Trujillo of Espanola,  Lugarda Quintana of Grand Junction Co.; Two Granddaughters that he helped raise Bernadette and Miranda Trujillo; many nephews, nieces and friends.

Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Abiquiu, with a burial to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, with the following serving as pallbearers: Darrell Serrano, Ricky Vigil, Ben Vigil, Lorenzo Chavez, Corey Trujillo, Arthur Trujillo, Julian Trujillo, Glenn Trujillo, Jason Gonzalez, Jeremy Trujillo, Zachery Trujillo and Joshua Soto; honorary pallbearers are the remaining grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  The Family of Jose Teodoro Sacarias Trujillo has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.  505-747-7477
