Jose Orlando “Oso” Martinez, 72, Born August 15, 1943, of Ensenada, NM passed away on June 19, 2015 from natural causes in his home. Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his daughter, Georgia Pritz; father and mother Jose Pablo Martinez and Solidad Martinez; brother, Jose Pablo Martinez.
Oso is survived by his wife of 51 years Socorro Martinez, his children George, wife Jeanette, Angelo, wife Renee, Jonathan, wife Angela, his grandchildren Ashley, Michael, Maria Elena, Marisol, Miguel Angel, Justin, Cameron, Anelisia, Jayden, Alexa, and his great grandson Izayah.
Oso was a lifelong resident of Ensenada, NM. Oso retired from the New Mexico Department of Transportation Department and was an active member of the Sheriff’s Posse. Oso will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church in Los Ojos, with a rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church in Los Ojos, with the following serving as pallbearers, Michael Pritz, George Martinez, Miguel Angel Martinez, Angelo Martinez, Justin Martinez, Jonathan Martinez, and Jayden Martinez. Honorary Pallbearer, Frank Castillo.
