JOSE O. LOPEZ, 75, a resident of Cordova, passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughters on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Jose was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Flora Lopez; son, Joseph Lopez; parents, Pedro Lopez and Albinita Martinez; in-laws, Vidal and Rosarito Trujillo and Priscilla Romero; brother, Alcadio Martinez; Godson, Dillon Romero; niece, Amanda Romero, nephews, Donny Lee Romero; Vincent Martinez.  Jose was a United States Naval Veteran. Jose was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his children, Diana Candelaria (Gilbert), Veronica Martinez (Jerry), Patricia Varady (Daniel), Nicole Pacheco (Ammera); 2nd wife, Cruz Quinonez; grandchildren, Danny Alex, Dominic, Megan, Alisha, Analise, Adrianna, Joseph Jr., Isabella, Angelica, Rudy and Devani, great-grandchildren, Miles and Brooke Martinez, Aleah, Gabriel and Bobby Miracle; special daughter-in-law, Melissa Lopez; sisters, Eva, Amelia, Patsy, Irene, brothers, Leroy, Ernesto, and Pete. Public Visitation will begin on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo, with a burial to follow at 12:45 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
