Jose "Joe" Octaviano Gonzales

Joe O. Gonzales, 66, was born to Octaviano & Lucy Gonzales on July 18, 1957.

Joe worked most of his adult life in the logging industry, he also spent his free time doing projects at home he liked to whittle wood and leather smithing.

Joe is proceeded in death by his parents Octaviano & Lucy Gonzales, paternal grandparents Ambrosio & Leocadia Gonzales, maternal grandparents Rosenaldo & Juanita Valdez, brother Johnny Gonzales, nieces Patricia Cordova, and Jessica Gonzales.

He is survived by sisters Shirley Cordova, Jessie, Mary Rose, Cordelia, Lucille Gonzales, Bertha O'Keefe and brother Peter Gonzales, niece whom was by his side Kassidie Arellano.

Pallbearers will be Michael Gonzales Jr., Juinor Martinez, Thomas Gonzales, J.R. Lopez, and Charles Wetterer, and Amadeo Chacon.

Honorary pallbearers are Lucas Cordova & Kailie Martinez. 

Rosary will be held at the DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, NM, on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 7:00 pm.  Burial services will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Gallina, NM, following burial at the Capulin Cemetery in Gallina, NM.
